Now that Hurricane Florence has passed out of our area, people are starting to look for relief and disaster assistance. Food shortages, shelters and disaster clean up… there is a LOT to do now, the work is just getting started. Unsure who you can turn to and what your options are? Disaster Unemployment Assistance – Disaster Unemployment Assistance provides financial assistance to individuals whose employment or self-employment has been lost or interrupted as a direct result of a major disaster and who are not eligible for regular unemployment insurance benefits.



DSNAP – Disaster short-term food assistance benefits



Disaster Assistance – Quickly and Easily look up and see if you qualify for disaster assistance, and even apply online! This is a FEMA program. This is for items that are NOT covered by insurance!



Disaster Assistance (financial) for small businesses – A quick rundown of IF you qualify, what it takes to qualify and how you can get assistance if Florence made it so you were unable to work/operate .

USA.gov helps give you information on some of the Federal governments Disaster Relief Assistance to include Financial help to include food, utilities and more with an easy online application. Will give a breakdown of what you qualify for and who to contact.
